Alliance Soccer Testing Format

 

40 Dash - Time (2 tries if desired)

 

Agility Run - 2 cones 10yds apart complete 3 figure 8's, Time (2 tries if desired)

 

Agility Run w/ Ball - same as above with ball (2 tries if desired)

 

Passing Accuracy - To play the ball faster it is more and more important to have outstanding passing accuracy. One cone and 2 pug goals 15 yds away at Approx. 30 degree angles. Pick up a ball at the cone accelerate w/ ball and pass into pug goal. (Left goal- Left Foot, Right goal - Right Foot). Count # goals in 60 seconds.

 

 

Juggling Drill - Foot skills, balance and touch are critical building blocks in becoming a better soccer player. # juggles you can do with left foot only, right foot only and head only. Start with ball on the ground for the Right and Left feet, throw the ball up in the air to start the head. Once ball touches any other body part or the ground Stop. (Best of 3 tries on each surface). Count best of each surface RF, LF, H - then total.

 

 

Long Ball Service - The ability to serve a ball over distance with accuracy is critical for starting counterattacks and switching the field of play. Drive 5 balls with each foot and measure the distance/accuracy. (Distance minus deviation from target). Record total distance of the 4 best balls of each foot and total.

 

 

Bending into Goal - texturing balls becomes more and more important as defenses become better. Getting a ball that provides the best opportunity to handle a ball effectively while beating as many defenders as possible is critical to success. From the Goal Box/Endline intersection use the inside of each foot to "bend" the ball into the goal. Kick 10 with each foot. Count the # of goals with each foot and combine.

 

Endurance Run - Late game endurance is essential for coming out on top in close games. Never let a team beat you because they are in better shape than you. You control your own fitness. ½ mile run. Start together - Time
